Bowling Green State University officials announced layoffs, furloughs, and salary cuts Friday to address budget shortfalls due to the coronavirus pandemic. University officials announced during a remotely-held board of trustees’ meeting that the administration had finalized budget reductions to address a $29 million shortfall for the fiscal year. The budget reductions will occur over a two-year period. The first year will include temporary reductions of more than $13 million as well as permanent reductions of nearly $16 million.
