Everything that has been lost — events, housing and potential fall enrollment — has forced schools to trim expenses. The money crunch, however, has only started. And local schools, including Saint Mary’s College, the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University South Bend, are still trying to assess the extent of that crunch and how to react to it.
