The University of Kentucky will furlough and lay off employees because of revenue deficits that in large part are the result of the economic havoc the coronavirus pandemic has wrought, UK President Eli Capilouto announced Tuesday. "The challenges are as daunting as our institution has faced in decades," Capilouto said in a campuswide message Tuesday.
