In short, COVID-19 has ushered in a transformational period for higher education. Like most colleges and universities, we’re facing fiscal challenges, enrollment unpredictability, and all the uncertainties associated with a global event that has upended many of our lives. We could allow ourselves to be paralyzed by the “fog of war.” We could wait for perfect information before making decisions. Or, we could choose a bias toward action, so that we emerge from this period with even greater strength and momentum. The chancellors and I have chosen the latter.
