Central Wash. University to temporarily furlough nearly 20% of employees - Elayne Rojo-Rodriguez, KIMA-TV

The president of Central Washington University says the school will be forced to temporarily furlough some employees and reduce hours for many others due to the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on the university budget. University President James L. Gaudino says 19% of the classified and exempt employees will be temporarily furloughed in July and August. Gaudino says those employees will be in standby status without pay, but eligible for unemployment compensation, including federal stimulus funding.
