Wayne State freezes tuition, warns of budget cuts - The Detroit News

“It has been a difficult decision for the Board of Governors to freeze tuition for the coming year,” board chairwoman Marilyn Kelly said in a statement. “Two of our most crushing worries have been, first, that in freezing tuition, the board forces the university to confront a budget shortfall of as much as $60 million. "Second, we render the university all the more challenged to meet the goals we’ve set of making Wayne University an even better learning center for minorities and the financially underprivileged to gain a quality education."
