Camryn Bynum’s attachment to football traces to his childhood in Corona (Riverside County). Every fall, he donned his helmet and shoulder pads and eagerly roamed the field — from age 10 through his days at Centennial High and on to Cal. Bynum carried high hopes into his final college season, brimming with bowl ambitions for his team and his own aspirations. The cornerback needed only one more class to earn his degree. He could focus on the season, graduate in December and then prepare for the NFL draft.
