UConn could face largest budget shortfall in school’s history EDUCATION - ADRIA WATSON, CT Mirror

UConn officials on Friday said the school is potentially facing the most dire financial situation in its history, and warned that an existing $74 million budget deficit could skyrocket if the university is forced to shut down again because of the pandemic. Testifying before the Appropriations Committee, administrators said the school’s $1.53 billion spending plan is running a 5% percent deficit.
