The cuts, called "planning targets" on the university's website, will occur in phases over the next two years. Leaders from University of South Florida colleges are preparing to present their plans as early as this Friday for cutting $27.5 million from their budgets over the next two years. USF spokesman Adam Freeman said the tentative plan is for reports to be given privately to President Steve Currall, Provost Ralph Wilcox and others around Dec. 18, with plans to present it publicly at an early January Board of Trustees meeting.
