Pandemic Still Wreaking Havoc On University Budgets, Personnel: New Actions By Marquette, William Paterson, And Kansas Board Of Regents - Michael T. Nietzel, Forbes

With the spring semester now underway at most of the nation’s colleges and universities, the Covid-19 pandemic shows no let-up either in its deadly spread or its devastating impact on higher education budgets and personnel. As the week came to a close, more institutions announced they were being forced to lay off faculty and staff because prior budget-cutting measures had proven inadequate to stanch the red ink caused by plummeting enrollments and additional spending on health precautions.
