HSU faculty call on administration to ‘push pause’ on budget cuts amid pandemic - Isabella Vanderheiden, Times-Standard

Nearly two dozen faculty and members of the local California Faculty Association spoke out during a virtual town hall on Thursday evening to demand Humboldt State University administrators “push pause” on the university’s proposed budget cuts. HSU will continue to seek input from the campus community through Feb. 26 and will unveil its findings in March. The CFA gained more than 3,000 signatures in three months on its Push Pause petition which aims to “defend vulnerable faculty and advocate for compassionate and appropriate decision-making” at the university.
