Community colleges are having an increasingly difficult time attracting students because of the thriving job market, the declining number of high school graduates and pandemic fatigue, according to higher education experts. Stephanie Sutton, vice president of enrollment management at Stark State College near Canton, said she doesn't think potential students are thinking about their long-term career and life goals. She said many are too worried about their current circumstances to invest in their education."I think even though the economy is precarious, the employment market is not," Sutton said.
