Naropa University undergoes administrative restructuring, cuts 11 staff positions But 7 added - Cassa Niedringhaus, Daily Camera
Naropa University has eliminated 11 full-time positions in a move to restructure administrative services. Although 11 positions were eliminated, another seven were created, Cheryl Barbour stated in an email. Barbour is Naropa's senior adviser for institutional effectiveness and strategic initiatives. She added that "natural turnover of employees created some opportunities for redesign of positions," but did not specify how many positions were redesigned. Administrative functions that had been housed in academic departments were moved to centralized administrative offices, including human resources and the registrar's office, Barbour stated. Internship and career services were consolidated, and the offices of student affairs and inclusive community were also combined.
