UM’s enrollment down, up in graduate and international students - Shaylee Ragar, Montana Kaimin
Enrollment at the University of Montana is down 7.6 percent according to preliminary numbers for the 2018-2019 academic year, however it did see an increase in graduate and international students. According to a press release, UM has a headcount of 10,962 students this fall semester, down from 11,865 last fall. The Kaimin reported last year that enrollment had dropped 5.5 percent, and 6.1 percent the year before. One of the most striking changes is a 9.3 percent drop in new incoming freshmen.
