MUN tuition freeze in Newfoundland and Labrador government's crosshairs - Rosie Mullaley, Saltwire

It looks like Memorial University’s tuition freeze may be in jeopardy of thawing entirely as a result of the provincial government’s decision to change its funding arrangement with the university. In presenting Budget 2021 Monday in St. John’s, government announced its plan to amend the Memorial University Act to provide the university with greater autonomy and will enter a new arrangement that will see the post-secondary institution's annual tuition offset eliminated over five years.
