ISU to make $12M budget cut - Haley Ferris, Statesman Online

Indiana State University announced a few weeks ago that the university would have a smaller budget for the 2023-2024 academic year, and would need to cut around $12 million to make the budget fit. What does this mean for students? How will it impact us and our experience here? “Minimally, if at all,” Dr. Chris Olsen, the provost, says.  “We started with the cuts as far away from students as possible.” The university is undergoing administrative cuts, such as deans, associate deans, assistant deans, executive directors and associate directors. “These are not personnel losses,” says Olsen, “They are either returning to faculty or they have chosen to retire.”
