Birmingham-Southern College is exploring other funding options, according to school president Daniel B. Coleman. In a letter to students and families, Coleman said the BSC Board of Trustees is holding weekly meetings to explore funding options. Meanwhile, a war of words is waging between Birmingham-Southern College leaders and State Treasurer Young Boozer. This comes after Boozer denied the school a bridge loan of close to $30 million even though lawmakers wrote and passed a bill specifically for that loan. Even though it seems the future is unclear for BSC, everyone at the college is trying to stay positive. But it has been a very trying time for faculty, students and their parents, who’ve been on an emotional roller coaster for months.
