The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is set to eliminate 111 positions, or 12.2% of its workforce, the university announced Wednesday. UW-Platteville officials said over the next two days, they’ll meet with 60 employees that will be notified of layoffs or non-renewals. The university said they have permanently cut 31 open positions. Another 32 people took early retirement packages. The university said it will offer counseling services, Universities of Wisconsin benefit presentations, outplacement assistance and appeals process information as a result of the layoffs
