Enrollment growth, budget cuts collide as Southwest Florida colleges struggle - LIAM DILLON, Naples Daily News

Higher education budget cuts are leaving local state schools anxious as the current legislative session kicks into high gear. Edison State College, which has four campuses in Southwest Florida, was one of nine schools affected by last year’s decision. “The numbers are profoundly frightening,” said Jeff Allbritten, president of Edison’s Collier County campus.
