California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed reducing community college funding by 11 percent, or $825 million, over the next 13 months. The 110-campus system will be forced to eliminate courses, layoff thousands of faculty and staff members and reduce its enrollment by a minimum of 250,000 students.
