The slumping economy is driving families to less-expensive college options, or even delayed enrollment in higher education, according to a poll by a nonprofit agency that provides college savings plans. CollegeInvest polled 502 Colorado parents with children 19 or younger in early April. While 95 percent said it’s important for their children to attend college, 62 percent said their kids will “definitely” go to college, compared to 70 percent a year ago.
