ISU officials respond to budget cut proposals - James Pusey, Ames Tribune

The Iowa State University Budget Advisory Council will have its hands full over the next two weeks as it puts together a proposal to cut nearly $25 million from the university budget. Proposals from the state’s three public universities will be presented to the Iowa Board of Regents for its approval at the Regents’ regular meeting Thursday, Oct. 29, in Cedar Falls. ISU President Greg Geoffroy sent an e-mail out to university faculty and staff on Thursday, saying each budget leader would be responsible for deciding how to best meet reduction needs for their specific units.
