CCU prepares for budget cuts - Mark Meredith - WMBF

Five percent of Coastal Carolina University's budget will be cut after the state announced department-wide cuts for all state agencies on Tuesday. The drop will result in a loss of just over $600,000 during one of the worst economic climates the Palmetto State has ever seen. "We asked our Board of Trustees, as well as vice president's and department heads to approach the budget very conservatively" said Stacie Bowie, vice president of finance at Coastal Carolina University. "We asked them to set money aside so we could plan for these budget cuts."
