U South Carolina Upstate Withstands Latest State Budget Cut - USC Upstate

Thanks to careful fiscal planning and steady enrollment growth, the University of South Carolina Upstate was not sent into dire straits today when the South Carolina Budget and Control Board announced a 5% across-the-board general fund budget reduction. Although the loss of $533,000 in revenue will mean additional tightening of the belt, there are no planned increases in student fees, employee furloughs or reductions in force for the remaining fiscal year.
