U of Arkansas budget cutback hits home - Marie Martin, Texarkana Gazette

The state’s reduction in the University of Arkansas’ budget will affect services provided by local schools as part of the U of A system. “It puts more stress on us and limits our ability to expand and meet the increasing needs of people’s access to health care,” said Patrick Evans, interim director of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Center–Southwest Allied Health Schools and School of Nursing in Texarkana.
