Baker University eliminates 5 majors of study in budget-cutting move - Associated Press

Baker University says it will eliminate five majors of study begining in the fall semester. The university announced that it will drop majors in molecular bioscience, wildlife biology, computer information systems, physical education and political science. Baker spokesman Steve Rottinghaus says the cuts will save the university about $400,000. The savings will come from the retirement of four professors and the relocation of seven others into different positions.
