Outsourcing services such as landscaping, housekeeping and serving food in dining halls has been used by other colleges and universities forced to cut costs.
But it didn't come to that at BSU. The university's board of trustees on Friday approved an agreement with Local 293 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) that calls for no increases in base pay for 2011-12 and 2012-13.
