GSU braces for drastic budget cuts - Dal Cannady, WTOC
Every single corner of the university will be impacted with cuts of this magnitude," Keel warned. "This round of cuts will be worse than anything we've already seen." It could mean large classes could become more common if Southern cuts up to 100 part time professors. It could also mean some specialty classes won't be offered as often. It could mean higher tuition, higher fees and even higher ticket prices for Eagle ball games of any sport. Keel projected the athletic department could be cut as much as $1 million. He added those cuts would hit a department that already has one of the lowest budgets in the country for schools GSU's size and among the other schools in the Southern Conference.
