University of Toledo president announces new round of layoffs - Toldedo Blade

The financially pinched University of Toledo plans more layoffs. President Lloyd Jacobs said yesterday about 36 employees from the main and health science campuses will lose their jobs. The health science campus was formerly known as the Medical College of Ohio.“We don’t know exactly how many people it will be. We won’t know that until we see what union rights are exercised, such as bumping. Almost every college will be affected,” Dr. Jacobs said.He said the layoffs would not reach the faculty level, but some midlevel administrators would be cut.
