UNM Regents Approve Tuition/Fee Hikes for 2010-11 - University of New Mexico Today

University of New Mexico students will see an increase in tuition and fees of 7.9 percent following action by the UNM Board of Regents at the university’s annual budget summit. Regents approved a UNM tuition increase of 3.5 percent, which must be added to the 5 percent tuition credit approved by the New Mexico Legislature. University administrators refer to this legislative tuition tax credit as the “SAD pass through” for “state appropriation deduction.” They said it amounts to a legislative tax on students.
