Balanced College of the Redwoods budget includes some painful cuts - Carol Harrison, The Times-Standard

A balanced budget won't come without some pain for the College of the Redwoods community. The tentative 2010-2011 budget CR President Jeff Marsee presents to the Redwoods Community College District Board of Trustees today in Del Norte features $1.2 million less spending than the current year. It is the first regularly scheduled trustee meeting since faculty and staff filled the board room and the adjoining lobby of the main campus administration building April 6 to criticize Marsee, and the board, while he toured Russia on a Fulbright scholarship.
