Canisius College will eliminate 29 jobs for the 2010-11 academic year, a move it says is driven by fewer incoming students and the general economic downturn.
In a release issued Thursday, the private Jesuit college said the job cuts will affect non-faculty administrative and staff positions. Sixteen positions will be eliminated, while 13 positions are, or soon will be, vacant. Another five positions will become less than full-time.
