Grand Rapids Community College President Steven Ender refuses raise - Steve Patterson & Jessica Puchala, WZZM 13

After a first year evaluation, Grand Rapids Community College Trustees offered GRCC President Steven Ender a $10,000 raise. Ender turned it down. "It wasn't that difficult quite frankly," He said. "I could never deny a person a raise if I were taking any additional dollars from the institution or the budget... that's just not how you lead." Ender said after looking at the school's $3.5 million budget shortfall, he would not take the money.
