34 lose jobs at NSU to budget cuts - Associated Press

State budget cuts have led Northwestern State University to send pink slips to 26 full-time employees and eight part-time employees. The Alexandria Town Talk reports the terminations will take effect July 1, the start of the new fiscal year. The job cuts are part of NSU's continuing efforts to offset about $9.7 million in state budget cuts over the past 18 months and projected future reductions.
