College transfers may cost students - Encarnacion Pyle, THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Students might have to pay a fee to transfer from one public college in Ohio to another under a proposal being reviewed by the state. Worried about Ohio's precarious budget, Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut is considering charging schools - instead of the state - to pay for those services. The schools likely would be allowed to pass along some of the costs to students through increased fees. Those costs are beyond what students pay in application fees when they seek to transfer.
