In an effort to cut costs, Mt. Hood Community College, 26000 S.E. Stark St., has frozen salaries for 82 administrators, managers and such confidential employees as administrative assistants and data analysts, and has also increased their health care costs, according to Sheri Mosher, interim human resources director. The moves are the latest in a series taken by the college since late May, when it adopted a budget that closed a $5.8 million shortfall for 2010-11 by raising tuition by $5 per credit hour to $76, among several other measures.
