LSU AgCenter facing 'catastrophic' budget cuts of 23 percent - Jeff Matthews, Town Talk

Officials at the Louisiana State University AgCenter are bracing for "devastating" budget cuts of more than $16 million in the 2011-12 fiscal year. Campuses within the LSU System were directed to form preliminary plans to address a projected $133 million budget deficit. The AgCenter was directed to eliminate just over $16 million from its budget, or about 23 percent of its state funding.
