Louisiana State University's main campus would be forced to cut 700 jobs and enrollment would shrink by an estimated 8,000 students if Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration follows through on threats to reduce state support for higher education by $62 million next year, according to an analysis released late Wednesday. The LSU campus in Baton Rouge and other schools in the system are braced for a tough budget year. "We are looking at long-term cultural, economic and educational disaster for our state," LSU Chancellor Michael Martin said.
