The Florida State University Board of Trustees proceeded with their business in Panama City with a Friday morning workshop to discuss ways to solve a $19.3 million budget shortfall. The 2011-2012 fiscal year will be another year of budget cuts for FSU, stemming in part from the expiration of federal stimulus funding. During the meeting at FSU’s Panama City campus, university President Eric Barron presented some options for meeting the shortfall, such as increasing athletic ticket prices, reorganizing the university and eliminating programs and faculty.
