A federal grant to help students get into college has been taken away from the state of Michigan, as its plan for the education budget didn't satisfy the government's requirements. The College Access Challenge Grant would fund local college access networks, dozens of college advisers in high-need areas, and some scholarships...but Education Secretary Arne Duncan has so far chosen not to reconsider revoking it from the state. Brandy Johnson, of the Michigan College Access Network, says that's not fair to Michigan students.
