America’s growing frustration with an intransigent Congress is reaching into the offices of South Dakota’s higher education leaders. After enduring three consecutive years of reductions in state support, South Dakota’s six public universities face potential automatic cuts in federal aid to student loans and research spending after Congress’ supercommittee announced that it had failed to agree on budget savings. It will affect private institutions as well.
