In an expected move, the Solano Community College board of trustees on Wednesday voted to cut ties with the Solano Community Theater Association, its director said. Association Director Chris Guptill, who said he was laid off earlier this month, said he was saddened by the 6-1 board vote move, but also found it inevitable. State budget cuts and other funding considerations prompted the college administration to recommend severing ties as a way to save up to $750,000.
