After a budget process that trustee Reggie Coleman called the most difficult "by far" in his 13-year tenure, the John Wood Community College Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a tentative $15 million budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year that includes the elimination or reduction of seven filled positions and three vacant positions. After a two-hour discussion in executive session, the trustees chose not to adopt a deficit budget but instead chose one that was nearly $600,000 less than last year's budget.
