A projected $1.5 million budget shortfall at Rock Valley College has shrunk to about $650,000, administrators told trustees Friday, thanks to lower-than-anticipated expenses and higher-than-anticipated revenue. The seven elected trustees who govern the community college will consider passing the fiscal 2013 budget in September. They’ve asked administrators to craft a balanced budget by then.
