The cost to get an education at Western Michigan University continues to climb. Undergraduate students will pay 3.91 percent, about $376 more in tuition and require fees for 2012-13 than they did last year. “Limiting a tuition increase to 4 percent, as the governor requested, is difficult, but we chose to recommend an increase that was even a bit lower than 4 percent because it is the right thing to do for our students and for our state," President John M. Dunn said during the board meeting, where WMU Board of Trustees unanimously approved the tuition and fee increase for the 2012-2013 year on Wednesday.
