The Midwestern State University deans and a few unnamed others who make more than $100,000 in salary have mostly volunteered to forego the promised 2 percent stipend they were entitled to this year so that the university can address a $1.8 million shortfall. But the MSU Board of Regents disagreed Thursday in their quarterly board meeting whether to allow those individuals to forego the stipends since the total amount recaptured for the budget would amount to only $50,000 of the total $1.8 million needed. Disagreement was strong enough among regents that finance chairman Michael Bernhardt tabled the committee item for more discussion
