Faculty at the University of Regina is stirred up over talk of possible upcoming budget cuts. "It’s unbelievably unfair,” says Kathryn Sinclair, a senior student at the university. While the province only releases their budget next March, the government has asked the school to lay out a financial floor-plan for the upcoming year. Thomas chase, provost and vice-president of academics says, “We're going into a budget year where we're anticipating some relatively mild cuts. We're looking at a potential of a three per cent cut.” But professors are baffled at the thought of potentially losing resources. “These cuts have basically hit us quite suddenly.
