Hoosiers rank high in college debt study - Megan Erbacher, Courier Press
A national study released this month ranks Indiana 11th in the country in a list of states with the highest college loan debt. The Institute for College Access and Success revealed in their Student Debt and the Class of 2011 study, Indiana's average student loan debt is $27,500. Hoosiers can incur a debt burden more than $1,000 higher than the national average. To ease the pain of college loan debt after graduation, or help erase it completely, Indianapolis-based not-for-profit ISM College Planning launched Student Loan Game Plan, an online resource that features real-time results in financial planning for college.
