Talks over cuts break down between Emory president, students - Associated Press

The Emory students that staged a sit-in at an administration building to protest the changes to the Emory College of Arts and Sciences earlier this week were hoping a long negotiation with the University’s president would change things. Dean Robin Forman was expected to review how the university decided to make the changes during Friday’s meeting, according to a news release from Emory. The students are upset that the college is phasing out programs including journalism, physical education and visual arts.
