Troy University's board of trustees unanimously approved a host tuition hikes today that school officials predict will raise an extra $11.18 million to help balance the fiscal 2014 budget.
The tuition increases will be matched by $11.9 million in spending cuts designed to cope with a projected $23.1 million revenue decline. "We need to lead by example. We can't ask for one measure and demonstrate something else," said Gerald Dial, the board's president pro tempore.
